If you’re craving Korean fried chicken in Hong Kong, BHC Chicken should definitely be high on your list. I visited their Causeway Bay location with a group of four during the summer holidays, and it definitely lived up to my expectations .

We ordered the Gold King Chicken, which features a flavor combination that is pure perfection: a rich mix of sweet honey, savory soy sauce, and garlic. The chicken itself was incredibly juicy and cooked to tender perfection.

We ordered a total of 8 pieces (a half chicken portion) alongside two types of tteokbokki, which was more than enough to go around. It was incredible value—we paid just over $100 HKD each and ended up so full that we couldn’t even finish everything!

For the tteokbokki, we tried both the classic spicy and the Rosé. The classic option brings a solid level of heat; it hits the spot if you like a kick, though I wouldn’t recommend it if you have a lower spice tolerance. The Rosé was rich and creamy, making it a comforting side to the chicken. While I enjoyed both and would still recommend giving them a try, they wouldn’t quite make my list of top-tier tteokbokkis in the city.

Between the incredible crunch, savory flavor profile, and great value for sharing, it is easily one of my favorite spots in the city for Korean food.
