If you live in Hong Kong, you’ve likely heard of Young Dabang, especially given the rising popularity of Korean food. They are best known for serving the world’s longest tteokbokki, featuring famous 35cm-long rice cakes that you cut yourself. I will say it’s definitely worth the visit.

While they offer multiple options, I have only ever tried the YDB Signature Sauce because it is just so delicious. It’s a rich, lightly spiced sauce that pairs perfectly with the chewiness of the tteokbokki and fried chicken. My absolute favorite way to eat it is to add cheese, which is perfect when visiting with friends. The pots range from around $250 to $350 HKD, and I personally think one pot is plenty to share among up to three people to leave you feeling full. If you still have room, you can always go for dessert after! I’ve only visited the branch in Sha Tin’s New Town Plaza, which is generally nearly full, though I’ve never actually had to queue for a table. I highly recommend it and think it’s best enjoyed shared in a group of three.
