It is no exaggeration to say that my Instagram feed has been completely flooded with reel after reel of Samsen reviews. But does it actually live up to what everyone says?
First up was the Chicken Khao Soi. Featuring egg noodles in a rich, velvety curry broth packed with flavor, this dish was absolute perfection and easily worth the $158 HKD price tag, which I would definitely return for. The portion is generous, but I recommend ordering another dishes to share with a friend.
Next, I tried the Khao Pad (fried rice). While it was executed exceptionally well and tasted great, it didn’t feel particularly unique or exciting compared to the Khao Soi, making it something I probably wouldn’t repurchase, we ended up using some of the Khao Soi sauce and added it to the fried rice to add flavour.
